Staley Cardoza

Staley Cardoza

Susie and Rachel met when studying law and continued their friendship as practitioners working in Dunedin.

After nine years in practice they decided to join forces particularly as their different fields of expertise meant they could offer a full range of legal services.

From this background the boutique law firm, Staley Cardoza Lawyers was formed in 1998.

Unwittingly they made history as the first “all women” partnership in Otago.

Over the years Rachel and Susie have contributed to the Dunedin community by way of various voluntary positions held with the University of Otago, Community Law Centre, Otago Chamber of Commerce and ID Dunedin Fashion Inc, to name a few.

In March 2019, Russell Cassidy, a senior legal practitioner, retired from the firm as a consultant.   After 27 years in practice, Russell established his own firm in 1999 and then joined Staley Cardoza in March 2013 as a Consultant.  He was a member of the personal client team along with Susie Staley.  Together they shared a wealth of experience in property, trusts, business and rural transactions.  Susie along with the property team are priviledged to continue to provide this expertise and service to Russell's clients.  If you have any enquiries please do not hesitate to contact us.
